Cookie policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026. This policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on www.mymonkeyguide.com.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use browser local storage (for example to remember your consent) and equivalent technologies.

2. How we ask for consent

When you enter the Site we show a banner to accept all cookies, accept essential cookies only, or configure analytics and marketing separately. Until you consent, analytics and marketing cookies stay off (Consent Mode). You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

3. Cookies and technologies we use

Essential (always on): cookie consent preference (local storage mmg_cookie_consent), security and basic Site operation. These cannot be turned off in the banner.

Analytics (only with consent): Google Tag Manager (container GTM-WMVD37L) and, where configured, Google Analytics or other measurement tags loaded through GTM. They help us understand aggregated Site use.

Marketing (only with consent): advertising or remarketing tags that may load through GTM. They help measure campaigns and, where applicable, show more relevant ads.

Third parties in booking: when you interact with embedded booking calendars or flows (for example FareHarbor) or follow affiliate links, those providers may set their own cookies under their policies. MyMonkeyGuide does not control those third-party cookies.

4. How to manage them

Besides the banner and “Cookie settings” in the footer, you can delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.). Blocking essential cookies may break some Site features.
