La Graciosa catamaran from Órzola, no hotel pickup

A 5-hour trip to La Graciosa, the smallest inhabited island in the Canaries, just off the north of Lanzarote. This fare does not include hotel pickup: you make your own way to Órzola port and everything is arranged from there.

In Órzola you board the regular ferry to Caleta de Sebo (about 25 minutes). Once there you get around an hour in the village: walk it with the guide, who explains the island's history and customs, or wander the sandy streets on your own.

Then you board the catamaran at Caleta de Sebo harbour. A mojito and a slice of Spanish omelette are waiting, and you sail along La Graciosa's south coast, with Lanzarote across the water, past Montaña Amarilla to anchor at Playa Francesa. There you can swim or take out a kayak.

Freshly made paella and fruit are served on board, with an open bar of beer, sangria, soft drinks and water. Afterwards the catamaran returns to Caleta de Sebo and the ferry takes you back to Órzola.

It suits all ages (free for ages 0 to 2; child rate for ages 3 to 11) and needs no experience: swimming and kayaking are optional. It works best if you have a car or are staying near the north. If you are based in Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise, Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen or Puerto Calero and would rather not drive, look at the version with hotel pickup.

Bring your ID card, passport or NIE to board the ferry; children under 14 do not need one. Guides speak Spanish, English, French and German.
