Teide National Park

You head up from southern Tenerife, with a short stop in Vilaflor, Spain’s highest town, for a break and local coffee. Then the pine forest leads to El Pino Gordo, an ancient pine for photos.

In the Cañadas you get time at the Roques de García, near the Parador, cafeteria and souvenir shop. You continue past El Pico Viejo and its recent lava field, the Boca Cangrejo flow (views of La Gomera), a short walk to the Sámara crater, and a volcanic viewpoint on the way back south.

It is a private group (rates for up to 2, 4 or 8 people). Typical length about 4.5 hours. Bring comfortable shoes, sunglasses, sun protection, a hat, a jumper, water and a snack.
