Whale and dolphin trips in Lanzarote

Whale watching in Lanzarote leaves from the southeast: Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carmen. This list has mini cruises and five-hour crossings that combine dolphins with Isla de Lobos, an electric catamaran of three or four hours and a two-hour speedboat.

Seeing animals is not part of the booking. What does change your day is whether the trip only looks for cetaceans or also stops at Lobos, and whether the boat is shared or a charter for your group.

This page compares 9 bookable options. Lowest listed price: €35. Time on the activity runs 2 h–5 h. Meeting points include Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero and Papagayo. The closed price and the meeting point are on each activity page.

Trips you can book

9 experiences

Dolphins only, or Lobos as well

The five-hour trip that names Isla de Lobos is a day, not a gap after lunch. The two-hour speedboat in Puerto del Carmen is the opposite: short and livelier. The electric catamaran from Puerto Calero runs about three or four hours, and there is a sunset version from the same harbour.

The private morning or midday charters, also from Puerto Calero, are the boat for your group. Do not read that price as a seat on the mini cruise.
