Description
FEEL Tenerife runs a guided hike in the Chinyero Special Nature Reserve in southwest Tenerife—a geologically rich area to grasp the islands’ recent volcanism.
The loop between Chinyero and Arenas Negras follows lava from Tenerife’s last eruption (1909) and references the 1706 Arenas Negras event that hit Garachico (FH description).
About 7.5 km and ~3 hours on trail (easy grade; 5-hour activity with logistics). Clear-day viewpoints towards Mount Teide and Pico Viejo. Includes mountain guide, electric Mercedes EQV, pickup north/south or Santa Cruz port, water, poles if needed and insurance.
