Diving in Gran Canaria

Diving in Gran Canaria splits in two areas. The south and southwest — Arguineguín, Anfi, Puerto Rico, Puerto de las Nieves — have most of the try dives from shore or from a boat. Las Palmas has its own try dives and the dives for people who are already certified.

A two- or three-hour try dive is not a six-dive package or a certified double dive. If you have never breathed underwater, book the try dive. If you already have a certificate, move to the pages that ask for one.

This page compares 13 bookable options. Lowest listed price: €35. Time on the activity runs 1 h–5.5 h. Meeting points include Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria sur and Las Palmas. The closed price and the meeting point are on each activity page.

Shore, boat or already certified

In Arguineguín you can choose a try dive from the shore or from a boat: the boat one adds the ride out to the site. In Anfi there is a beach dive, including for people who want to repeat. In Las Palmas the doubles and the multi-dive pass are for certified divers or for a longer introduction, as the page says.

Puerto de las Nieves, in Agaete, is another drive. Do not book it as if you were in Maspalomas.
