Advanced canyon in Tenerife
Advanced canyoning (~5 hours) in Tenerife: abseil of about 150 m. Min. 4 people; good fitness…
The ravines you descend in Tenerife are not all in the same valley. This list has introductory trips in Los Arcos and Chimoche, in La Orotava; longer descents in Carrizales, in Buenavista del Norte; and trips the page itself marks as intro, intermediate or advanced.
You go down with a wetsuit, a helmet and a guide, in a small group. A three-hour introduction is not Carrizales, which takes most of the day. The grade is written on the page: do not assume it is the same on the next one.
This page compares 8 bookable options. Lowest listed price: €30. Time on the activity runs 3 h–7 h. Meeting points include Buenavista del Norte, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Orotava. The closed price and the meeting point are on each activity page.
None of these have a location on the map. Try other filters or look at the list.
La Orotava and Buenavista are in the north and northwest. Barranco Hondo and some trips towards Costa Adeje are on the other side. Pick by where you sleep: crossing the island for a three-hour ravine is a poor trade.
On a first descent, stay with the pages that say introductory. The advanced trips and Carrizales ask for more ease and more hours.
The ravine’s name, the hours and whether it is a wet descent. Chimoche and Los Arcos are not the same watercourse. The kit (wetsuit, helmet) is confirmed on that trip’s page, not by this list.
